Life in Chile ain’t so bad…. sometimes.
Despite the discovery that our building administrators don’t have insurance against loss of the monthly (shared) contributions of residents towards common costs (called Gastos Comones) in the event of a bitter employee leaving his job (see You’ve been robbed, mate! March 8th 2006), i’ve been re-inspired by the work of Jumbo, the largest supermarket chain in Chile, for negotiating the Chilean customs and excise and actually stocking Sharwoods Curry Sauces! Wahey for Britain, the british indian community and their commercial genius!
I’m looking forward to my curry tonight. Chicken Dopiaza. The fact that no other Chilean will buy a sauce from a jar puts a huge smile on my face… that means that this stock will last at least a month!
