Had a laugh this afternoon when i read that after stepping down as chancellor of Germany, Schroeder has taken a break (and some english classes) on the Shropshire Wales border! Indeed, he stayed very close to our first night of honeymoon and even had a pint in the Castle Hotel, Bishops Castle; a fine establishment that we visited!

Rachel is always complaining that Shropshire is marginalised and nothing ever happens on the Welsh borders (no invasions or conquests as found on the Scotland-England border, just continued high agricultural subsidies and tweed types living the life of luxury). No longer it seems. Could Hyssington be the launchpad for Schroeder’s new career as a male hairdresser, or, perish the thought, dairy farmer?!
